Questions families ask
Which division will my daughter play in?
Her division is determined by her age on August 31 of the playing year. Rookies are ages 4-6, Peewees are 6-8, Juniors are 9-11, Seniors are 12-14, and Teens are 15-18. Because the age groups overlap at six, a six-year-old may play in either Rookies or Peewees, and we will help you choose the best fit during registration.
What equipment does my daughter need?
No special equipment is required to play kickball, though your coach may ask the team to wear a specific color of shorts. Cleats are recommended but not required; softball or soccer cleats work best, and metal cleats are not allowed.
When is my registration payment due?
Registration fees must be paid in full before the first game; a player with an unpaid balance cannot take the field. You can pay online by bank transfer or card, or arrange Zelle, check, or cash with the league.
How are teams assigned and when do we find out?
Returning players stay with last year's team when they remain in the same division and at least three teammates return. New players, players moving up a division, and all Juniors, Seniors, and Teens are placed through the draft. Sisters in the same division are always placed together unless they request otherwise, and our Player Agent assigns new Rookies and Peewees to their teams. Every family is notified of their team by the end of the day on February 28.
Why are we required to have sponsors?
Sponsors are how we celebrate and involve our local businesses. Every team carries a sponsor, whose name appears on our jerseys, our field banners, and our website. A team's first sponsorship goes to the league in full to help cover insurance, city fees, field maintenance, chalk, and uniforms, and teams keep 75% of any additional sponsorships for team needs.
